Reliable Wi-Fi is not created by adding access points at random. Materials, device density, applications and the wired network determine the result.
Map coverage on a real plan
Walls, floors, glazing and open volumes affect propagation. Start with a plan and confirm coverage through measurements on site.
Outdoor and high-density areas may need dedicated models or orientations, with deliberate overlap for roaming.
Separate coverage from capacity
Strong signal does not prevent congestion when too many active clients share airtime. Identify meeting rooms, guest rooms, event spaces and permanent connected equipment.
Where cabling is possible, Ethernet backhaul gives a more predictable foundation than default wireless meshing.
Prepare administration
Document VLANs, accounts, configuration backups and responsibilities. A dashboard does not replace a restoration procedure or socket map.
Questions to resolve
- How many users and devices will be active at once?
- Which applications must remain prioritised?
- Where are cabling and PoE available?
