SECTOR / VILLAS & HOMES

A home equipped around everyday life.

Comfortable lighting, understandable controls, a connected home office and managed access: first describe what each space should enable. References follow, with their interfaces and limits.

01

Start with routines, then design systems.

Record three concrete moments: leaving, arriving with full hands and preparing for night. For each, name rooms, the person acting and what must remain unchanged. A general command is useful only when its exceptions are understandable, such as an occupied bedroom or ongoing home-office work.

Separate the intended function from its implementation: a button, an app and a schedule are not equivalent installations. In a KNX project, ETS helps configure and document functions; this does not automatically validate a product basket or interfaces with existing equipment.

03

A brief that prevents premature selection.

  1. New build or renovation

Provide plans, photos without occupants and routing options. State what can be opened, retained or moved. A wireless solution still needs power, coverage and maintenance assessment.

  2. Equipment already selected

Record exact lighting, motor and climate-equipment references. Request documented control interfaces, not just the brand; retain unconfirmed compatibility as an open question.

  3. People and controls

Plan actions for guests, children and contractors. Define who changes a schedule or grants temporary access. Keep an identifiable local control where needed.

  4. Dependencies and budget

Separate hardware, design, installation, configuration and any recurring services. Ask what depends on the internet and expected behaviour without it. Do not promise offline operation without verification.

  5. Handover and changes

Agree which backups, configuration files, administrator rights and recovery procedures will be handed over. List acceptance tests and the owner of changes; do not include passwords in quotation requests.

04

Example: good night, except in the office.

ILLUSTRATIVE EXAMPLE

Fictional home with living room S-01, bedroom C-01 and occupied office B-01. This scene is a specification to test, not an advertised compatibility.

  1. Define the request

The night button requests S-01 lights off and the C-01 curtain closed. B-01 stays excluded while its manual exception is active; this scene does not switch off its work lights or outlets.

  2. Observe the result

Test every output and local control. If no sensor confirms curtain position, show “closure requested”, not “closed”. A sent command is not a measurement of actual state.

  3. Clear the exception explicitly

The user finishes work and clears the B-01 exception. Check the next command without silently altering alarms or entry permissions; also record behaviour when a link is unavailable.

This scene establishes neither quantified energy savings nor intrusion protection. Safety and security functions retain their own design and tests.

05

Convenient access is not proof of safety.

A gate controlled from the home remains moving machinery: its integrator must assess the passage and site hazards. HSE provides British principles, not Moroccan regulatory approval. An app button replaces neither mechanical assessment nor safety checks. Ask who handles installation, acceptance and follow-up; supplying a motor does not automatically include those services.

06

Questions before ordering.

Can I equip the home in stages?

Yes, when the plan separates current needs, reserves and future interfaces to verify. Reserving space or a route does not guarantee compatibility with every later purchase.

Can everything remain usable without a phone?

Write this requirement room by room and test the selected solution. Identify local controls, priorities and functions dependent on an account, gateway or internet connection.

Does Inovexia carry out installation?

This page describes the distributor role. Installation and integration need a separate quotation and responsibilities; WEXON is the integration route, not a service already included here.

What should I attach for an initial quotation?

Floor plans, room list, three priority scenes, existing references and work constraints. Mask private information; keep unknowns visible so the quotation states its assumptions.
